This course was originally developed for the use of the operator working in urban environments of low intensity conflict.  Based on the nature of the missions conducted in high risk zones and LIC areas the ISI TEAM developed this program for the combat soldier, Security contractor, and any person that has a work interaction with unexpected environments.

The KAPAP-LOTAR Combatives program is taught to units and operators that are deployed to similar conflict urban areas like Iraq and Afghanistan, when often they work within civilian population and where lack of combative skills can be a major concern.

Operators are taught to dominate opponents by seizing the initiative in a fight rather than reacting to enemy attacks as most civilian self-defense courses teach. The KAPAP-LOTAR training teaches the operator to fight as well as instilling the aggressiveness and confidence the operator needs to carry out his mission flawlessly.
